The Barcelona Provincial Council participates in a meeting on inclusive local institutions
On March 26 and 27, Tunisia hosted the "technical meeting for the establishment of inclusive local institutions", organized by United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Government of Tunisia and the Global Alliance for SDG 16.
The meeting brought together more than 60 elected representatives from local and regional governments around the world, who shared local initiatives to advance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG16) of Agenda 2030 on Peace, Justice and solid institutions, and to strengthen the effectiveness and transparency of institutions and citizen participation. Within the framework of the Community of Practice on Transparency and Open Government of UCLG, the Barcelona Provincial Council participated in this meeting, where it shared its experience in the promotion of transparency, access to information and the participation of the Citizenship to increase the confidence of citizens in local and national governments.
