Cross of the Maginet
Commemorative monument located on the right bank of the Anoia River.
The cross owes its name, Maginet, to the fact that it was erected in the place where Magí Rabell died in an accident on 18 January 1904. The monument was likely erected and consecrated shortly after the event, at the initiative of his wife, Teresa Lliró.
Historically, Magí Rabell was a resident of Igualada who died suddenly while testing a firearm with another resident. Although he has no connection with Santa Margarida de Montbui, the accident took place in Montbui and today forms part of the riparian landscape.
