Incunable

Un incunable és un llibre o qualsevol obra no manuscrita publicada abans de 1501. S’anomena així perquè la impremta es va inventar el 1450 i el període entre aquesta data i el 1500 es considera el bressol (o inicis) de l’edició mecànica de documents. Actualment, el terme incunable també s’utilitza per definir manifestacions rares o valuoses que es troben en l’origen de qualsevol activitat, art o tècnica.
