El Museu d'Història de Sabadell compta amb una important col·lecció de teixits de diferents èpoques que cronològicament abasten des del segle VIII fins el segle XIX.
En aquesta exposició es mostren el fons de teixits decorats amb la tècnica de l'estampació, genèricament anomenats indianes, fent referència als primers teixits d'aquests tipus que van arribar a Europa a través de les Companyies d'Índies i, que cronològicament pertanyen als segles XVIII i XIX. Fent-se també esment a les diferents tècniques en què estan estampats els teixits dels museu.
