El Molí Blanc

The Molí Blanc or White Mill is a building that is highly typical of paper mills in Catalonia, as well as a stately farmhouse, with a ground floor, first floor, gazebo and basement. The first two floors were probably used as a house, while the basement was where the milling activities took place.

Built near the Anoia River and Tous Stream, it gets its name from the screen printed white lime mortar that highlighted the portals and windows and bottom of the roof overhang on the façades.

The upper part (gazebo) is composed of a series of small rectangular windows. This series of openings belonged to the drying area of the paper mill.

While the building underwent major renovations in the late 20th century to adapt it to new uses, original elements from both the mill and the building itself remain.
