Els Tints

An industrial complex located in the Sant Maure neighbourhood of Santa Margarida de Montbui, next to the Anoia River.

There are no historical records of this industrial complex, which has not been linked to any known tannery along the Anoia River. We can therefore conclude that it was built in the late 19th or early 20th century as a textile factory and perhaps for finishing dyes, likely the reason for the popular name by which it is known.

From an architectural point of view, it is possible that it was built in several stages. According to the oral information collected, it had already been abandoned prior to the Spanish Civil War (1936 - 1939).
