16 goals linked to the SDGs

 

The 16 strategic goals for this mandate are a localised version of the SDGs, that is, adapted to the reality of our local governments and of the province of Barcelona. They are shown below in order according to the contribution of the corporation's transformative projects and the budgetary sub-programmes:

 
1. Promote local policies that are effective, innovative and co-create public value.

 

 
2. Ensure that the province of Barcelona’s Network of Local Governments is inclusive, secure and resilient, through the deployment of the New Urban Agenda.

 

 
3. Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, as well as the improvement of local talent and decent work.

 

 
4. Reduce inequality between people and regions, and promote social inclusion through policies that combat vulnerabilities.

 

 
5. Strengthen local public health strategies, especially those targeting the most vulnerable groups, and promote well-being at all ages.

 

 

 
6. Contribute to providing the region with amenities, infrastructure and a resilient, sustainable and innovative industrial fabric.

 

 

 
7. Contribute to ensuring inclusive and quality public education, and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

 

 

 
8. Strengthen partnerships for sustainability in all areas.

 

 

 
9. Promote responsible and local consumption and sustainable production in our towns and cities.

13. Promote the local use and generation of green energy which is local, affordable and safe.
